Three cheers! The 2016 FKFicFest game is now officially closed. The stories and the players have been delightful! A standing ovation for all our diligent writers, insightful beta-readers, and glorious readers! Hooray! Yay, Forever Knight fans!

Endless, forever... Please continue reading and replying to the fest stories! This year's, and all seven years so far! It's never too late for feedback! (You don't need an account to read, comment or click the "Kudos" button.) Please also keep writing, reading and replying to all new FK fanfiction everywhere throughout the year! We're a small and sleepy fandom at this end of history, but we're still here, still inspired by our favorite vampire homicide cop, and his friends, enemies, lovers, rivals, coworkers, and car!

When's the next game here? For now, we're on hiatus. Whether 2017 brings another round will depend on player interest. Stay tuned!

We're on the verge of stories! 9 fascinating new Forever Knight fanfiction tales await us this week and next!

I see gen and ship, humans and vampires, suspense and comedy! They range from ~1K to ~6K words, from General to Mature audiences. Along with our favorite leads, I see tags for such minor characters as Alma, Aristotle, and Alix Logan, as well as Myra and Jenny Schanke.

Stories begin releasing tomorrow, Monday 9/26, as scheduled, and continue one per day up to the final "Master List" ("Closing Ceremonies") post on Wednesday 10/05. ( Frequently Asked Questions )

With only 9 players, matching was tough. Several writers really stepped up, boldly and generously tackling challenging prompts outside their usual preferences! You guys are the best.

And when are stories due? Tomorrow, Saturday, September 24, 11:59 PM (Pacific Time). They'll start releasing, one per day, on Monday, September 26. (If we need pinch-hitters, I'll recruit on Sunday, September 25.) Of course we all have all day Sunday to polish our stories in the queue on the AO3.
