Sometime this week, give or take syndication schedules, is the 29th anniversary of the first airing of "Last Knight," the Forever Knight finale. (I usually count it as May 18, but it could have been any time that week in each local market.)
How odd and amazing that we're still here, enjoying FK and appreciating each other.

Anyway, it started me writing as well. I'd never written a word of fiction until LK. So it did have a positive side.

Date: 5/22/25 02:30 pm (UTC)I don't think it was ever learned whether he had an original ending vision in mind from the start. He might well not have. That wasn't really how TV series worked back then in the US, of course, when the idea for Nick Knight > Forever Knight first came to him and his writing partner; the professional hope was always that shows would continue forever and ever, raking in steady money for their networks.
