2026 Test Poll (New prompt nomination format)

I'd like to test our prompting experiment before we open the real thing this coming Sunday, May 3.

This year's new approach: Every FKFicFest community member may submit one (1) prompt, anonymously, for writers to use, combine, or ignore as they please. No claiming (multiple people may use the same prompt). And no reveals (the prompts stay anonymous, including to me). If I've selected the right options, the poll below will collect and display one (1) anonymous free-text answer per community member.

I asked annavere what question I should use for the test. She suggested, "Which FK Character is the Sharpest Dresser?" This is an excellent question! Yet I feel that we need a different answer from each participant, not a landslide for Janette. ;-) So instead we're running with:

Good costume choice, interesting vocabulary!

I just now looked up "kimono" to learn whether that word can apply to a man's garment as well as a woman's, and it can! I had always thought "kimono" was specific to Japanese women's garments. Something new for me to learn; thank you.

(I've called that kind of garment a "robe," or "silk robe," as compared to a "bathrobe" or "terrycloth robe.")

That's interesting. The German word would be "Kimono", regardless of gender. So, it didn't occur to me that this might be different in English. Thanks for checking though. I would think of a robe when the garment is longer like Nick's red robe or the brocade robe Lacroix wears in the flashback of "Father Figure".
