Question #2: If a second series had spun off FK in the '90s, that heyday of syndicated genre drama, what possible spin-off scenario would you, personally, have most loved to follow?

Bonus question: What do you think of these questions? And what questions (if any) should we have in the future?

I image a spin-off series from Forever Knight during that time frame would probably be focused on what goes on with the vampires and mortals at the Raven. Like the show Cheers.

I was thinking from season 2, so we could still have Janette and interesting vampires. Season 3 had LaCroix there and that really seemed to change the feel of the place, for me anyway.

Yes, the change in the Raven between seasons two and three is significant. And I share the feeling that the change wasn't for the better, for the sake of the show's storytelling options or the characters' life experiences.

Agreed, on both counts.

In my opinion, also, Vachon & crew getting spun off meet the traditions and demands of television at that time better than any other spin-off possibility. The set-up question would be whether Tracy stayed in the same precinct as Nick, or transferred elsewhere after the "soft pilot" of "Black Buddha."

And, personally, I suspect that I'd have enjoyed some take on "Forever Janette" more than any of the other possible spin-offs. I definitely wouldn't have personally preferred following Lacroix through his "hidden years" (first season and the hiatus), though that's definitely a valid theoretical scenario, too.

At the time, I probably would have wanted to see a spin-off of Vachon and crew, but now I wonder whether a spin-off of Liam O’Neill might have done well, kinda like a middle-aged male Buffy (or Buffy trainer?).

Do you imagine, if this could have been a thing, Bridgette might have survived "Bad Blood" and gone with him, as a bridge character...?

I really hadn’t thought about him taking Bridgette with him. That’s an interesting idea. I was thinking that, in order to have survived as a hunter for so long, he had to have friends or colleagues who shared his knowledge and quest. They might even be an international group, with members recruited during other international trips like the one he made to Toronto. In other circumstances, he might even have recruited Natalie into such a network.

Yep, we've always given ourselves at least 2 months to write. One year, we had 3 months, but that didn't seem to add to the general happiness, so we went back to about 2 months.
